COMPUTEX Showcases AIoT Ecosystem

AI applications can generate add-on value for industries and boost the demand of business services. According to a recent report by Gartner the global artificial intelligence business value will reach USD 1.2 Trillion in 2018, an increase of 70% from 2017. By the end of 2022, that number will have reached USD 3.9 Trillion. Gartner divided the sources of AI Business Value into 3 categories: customer experience (CX), new revenue, and cost reduction.

　IoT products need to be backed with AI and cloud services to make them more effective; creating “AIoT”. As one of the co-organizers of COMPUTEX, Taipei Computer Association (TCA) pointed out that COMPUTEX 2018 will have AI servers, Edge AI devices, and IoT solutions, along with more exhibiting products which could support cloud services such as Amazon Web Service (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and Microsoft Azure; making COMPUTEX the world’s best B2B AIoT solution procurement platform.

　Famous AI server and solution providers will join COMPUTEX 2018; such as ASUS, Microsoft, Intel, MiTAC, GIGABYTE, MSI, BenQ, QCT, ECS, Acer, Wiwynn, Realtek, ADATA, QNAP, SYSCOM Group.

　For IoT solutions, there is a special exhibition, SmarTEX which focuses on integrated smart IoT solutions. The areas of SmarTEX are: AI & Big Data, Internet of Vehicles (IoV), Security Application, Smart Home, Smart Tech Solutions, and Wearables & Sports Technology. There will also be 4 pavilions in SmarTEX: MOST GLORIA, IDB Taiwan Cloud Expo, IDB Data4Match, and TSTA (Taiwan Smart Textiles Alliance).
